    Ummm, I dont remember...

Jk. Pendleton all 4 years, 2 with CLR17, 2 with the 11th MEU CE supporting CLB11. My MOS, well, thats a long story better told over grainy hoppy drinks. Besides a fairly fun deployment, my proudest accomplishment was this "battle hammer" we made....

Anyways, Im playing Devils Advocate here because we've got a guy who never served and cant even pronounce Marine Corps, so why are we allowing him to judge someone who may very well have been a Marine?

Partying on a Thursday. Smoking pot, drinking, and bragging about how he is a marine... I don't know, I hope our tax money aren't going to pay servicemen like that.
I'm not as much judging him by his age or look, but his action.

Drinking? You act like all the young service people arn't out partying? In my college years that's all the parties I went to was a few of my enlisted friends house parties. Sure they wern't into pot, but there sure are those that do risk getting caught.
    What's wrong with a thursday?
The single biggest thing you have going is the tatoo. Other than that, need to wise up that a bunch of these 18-23 year olds, while they get respect for serving, and some are straight laced. A fair bunch are also the ones who really had no other future/good options or otherwise do the same things college kids are doing. Especially how a few years ago entrance req's was a bit more relaxed.

If Marines don't, Army Engineers do...
We used to hit Raleigh-Durham every other weekend or so and pick up some yummies, take em out on the backside of Bragg for the weekend.

The tatoo is a deal breaker though as far as actually completing an enlistment. When I went in i had options on the table and the same with a majority of the Marines I served with. Many did not wake up one day and decide to go into the service and it was more like a family tradition. Bottom line is that libbo was always very scarce and it was generally, unfortunate for some, taken full advantage of. At work I performed well with responsibilities galore for an 18 to 22 year old but when I was out on the town...

Everywhere I went there were always the shit bags... the "Weeds and Seeds" crew. They were not always considered bags but they fucked up once and.. One day one would show up with a tat on their neck or pop on a piss test, pot or roids even meth once. Picking up cigarette butts and busy work for years!!! ..

It takes forever (administratively) to be given the boot out of the Corps. Depending when they got busted (boot leave), their knowlege they may have about the Corps may be very limited. Three Marines at my first unit were busted on carreer ending tats and one was still there after two years.
The dishonesty you may be detecting on this guy may be him covering up for what he is really doing... I dont know if there is an MOS for that.... lol

Good ol Camp Pendleton! I was there all four years with 2/4 the Magnificent Bastards. Including a deployment with the 11th MEU in 2006. Good times good times haha

I went to college while I was in. Most of it was on base - outreach campus, but some local U classes off base and we all hung out with the college crowds in the bars, and sometimes house parties. That don't mean shit.
