Try being a resident- one of my Army buddies grew up in N. Hollywood (He's in his early 40's) and was about a 1/2 mile away when it happened, said it was noisy and scary as hell.

In the making of Mann said Tom worked on that draw with an expert for weeks and that scene took multiple takes. I try and practice my draw and acquire daily.

I think we're talking about shootout scenes for the realism they bring. That Zombie shootout scene is the opposite of what makes these other scenes good.
