    Default Jamming Problem????

I just got an Armalite M15 A2. It jams everytime I try to cycle PMC ammo through it. It also jams everytime I try my buddies reloads. Is this a common problem? Is this something a smith can fix? The shells it does cycle seem to be getting scratched and nicked up pretty good. The gun seems to be in great shape. I even had a smith look at it and he said it looked fine. Who is a good AR Smith in the Littleton area?

    Thanks in advance!!

2 quick fixes. Dont use PMC. Dont use your buddies reloads.

What exactly is the jam like? Does it leave the empty in the chamber, does it fail to eject the empty and tries to feed in a new round at the same time, will it lock open on an empty mag, ect...

+1 on using crap ammo. Buy good optics and ammo. Life is too short for cheap booze.

It chambers the round and locks shut. I have to hit it on the ground to unlock it. Even the good rounds that cycle through come out nicked and scratched. I haven't shot it yet, just messing around with it in the garage. I hope to get to shoot it tomorrow. Thanks!

I would check the head space. I had an upper I bought a while back that did the same thing. Chamber was out of spec.

I had that problem with a new RRA. Check the gas rings. For whatever reason it would flatten the gas rings, overlap the bolt and jam. New gas rings did the same. RRA sent a new bolt and it ran fine thereafter.

5.56- I'd love to check the things that you guys are saying, but I know finance not gunsmithing. I own 20 rifles, pistols, revolvers, and muzzle loaders and don't know how to work on any of them. Can you guys recommend a good AR gun smith in the south Denver area.

    Thanks Bryan
