I keep a back country/get home bag in my work vehicle. I also have a small camelback in my truck with a few things and everything else that I would need is already in the truck it just needs put in or strapped to the pack.

The wife has a full BOB in here car with a couple of smaller packs to break things down to essentials for a long walk.

Can you post a link to a pic or a pic to that bag? A bag that can be broken down is very practical in my thoughts.

I think he said that he has a few smaller bags in addition to the large BOB so they can spread the weight out over a few people if needed. Think of those laundry/gym type bags nothing but nylon square with two draw strings for shoulder straps.

Ahh okay. So kinda like how mine is set up with a couple dry bags pre-packed for different scenarios in there so I can offload things like if I am stranded with car and staying with car, etc.
