How about a Springfield M1A, you can chant the platform up, there are lots of options with making it even more tacti-cool and still has that higher capacity mag for them too.

last idea, NFA items, I know the wait might be a long one, but you can still buy all the parts and build one up until you get a new can. I have always wanted to do a short barrel AR with a can or shorter barrel.

Sort of. I blew off the idea of running that caliber with a carbine gas system. I might entertain doing another one with a pistol gas system though.Didnt you already take a ride on this boat?

The M1A/M14 appeals to me but I might do one of the shorter SOCOM versions.
I find it strange that when things pop up for sale that I want I usually don't have the money at the time but when I have some money set aside I can't find anything to spend it on.

Could get an AR in 300 AAC, it'll use AR mags.
