Damn poor officer that this happened to ..

Police fired eight shots at the intruder, who authorities say was holding a gun to the head of Andrea Rebello, 21, during a home invasion robbery Friday at an off-campus house in Uniondale. One of the shots hit Rebello in the head, killing her, police spokeswoman Maureen Roach said.

perhaps someone watched too much TV/Movies where the good guy goes in guns-a-blazing with your 90#\ "New York" Trigger-pull PoS ...

    No Sympathy

    the Crook is guilty,
    the cop is guilty
    his leadership is guilty
    the legislators are guilty
    The Mayor is guilty
    the Governor is guilty
    the media is guilty
and the people of New York State are guilty for perpetuating the victimization and disarmament of free people

you cannot deny someone the right to defend themselves and then not accept blame when they die at the hands of another.

but, as everyone says, "They voted for them..."

    is it July 1 yet?

That could have been handled a different way. You can always withdraw. I do not agree poor officer he has to live with his bad decision so what! He should it was his. She is dead and he had on body armor. I see this as a tactics problem not a marksman issue. Placed his life above hers, definition of a coward and not a hero.

I don't feel bad for him. He made a decision, didn't perform as well as the situation dictated and now a young woman is dead and he has to suffer the consequences. It's a crap situation but doesn't mean I need to have to sympathy for the guy.

Their training combined with the [ as byte mentioned] horrendous need 2 hands trigger pull, is appalling. Of this i comment on based on personal experience with numerous LE agencies / depts in that area.

    Sure,
The people, politicians/government, police, media disarmed free people and a woman was killed without a chance to defend herself.

Everyone was put into a bad situation by a criminal. The officer may have made a bad decision. I wasn't there so I don't know. The scumbag and a "justice" system that let him, a violent, repeat criminal, out of prison to terrorize society is the ultimate place where blame should be placed. It's just unfortunate that the victim had to pay with her life and an officer is going to have pay with his/her career (and more) because of it.
