    Default 80% Build Party Feeler

    80% Build Party Feeler
I recently did my lowers at a CNC shop in the Denver area. I was discussing the possible need for Build parties and they are interested in renting spindle time on their machine.
This is a feeler to gauge the need/desire for an 80% Build Party. Depending on interest, this could be monthly or quarterly.
If you’d be interested in participating when/if available in a Build Party on a CNC Mill please show your interest by stating so here. Please include number of lowers and mfg of lower, and whether it is billet or forged.
Shop was thinking appointment every 20 mins with a 75.00 rental cost for machine to do the work. Experienced machinist will be available to oversee your progress.
My lowers were BRS billet and my jig from Chris does BRS and Tactical Machine forgings from what I understand. Other MFg we will have to get a jig or modify the one we have.
    Please list your interest here:
    Thank You,
    Roger

    Got a sub-$100 80% lower for sale?

I would be interested, but looking at tactical machine, it's going to be a while.

No I don't have any 80% lowers available. The ones that I used were from billet80 and they are billet 6061 ( he now offers billet7075 also) they run around 175.00 but the wait is only about 3 weeks.
    That's all I got.

I'm interested. I'll have 3 AR10 (armalite B pattern) projects. They are Datum Gear / billet parts. I also ordered a jig, but don't expect to see my parts until July. I'd be ok with arranging my own party with These guys if there isn't sufficient interest. Let me know who to contact

Don't know the difference between an AR10 and an AR!% as far as machining the FCG out is. I provided the G code program to run the machine to the shop for the AR15. I just basically rented spindle time from the shop. Owner was there just for safety.
It seems there may be a little interest in this but more towards summers end. Keep posting in the thread and at some point we will try to get a get together going.

    Thanks

Where did you get the CNC program? My lowers will have different dimensions (larger) than an AR15. I'm guessing I'll have to bring my own.

I got the program off the forum Calguns. I thought I heard that on the 10 the FCG is the same size as on the 15. Is that not true? I thought only the magwell was larger. Never seen a 10 though so I could be way off.
