Just found this. Very Interested in a Build Party in the Denver Area. I have 4 80% Lowers and another friend of Mine has 6. We both have Jigs.

Default would like to join build party

Total newbee and have not ordered parts but looks doable with a drill press although I'd rather machine it.

I recently did my lowers at a CNC shop in the Denver area. I was discussing the possible need for Build parties and they are interested in renting spindle time on their machine.
This is a feeler to gauge the need/desire for an 80% Build Party. Depending on interest, this could be monthly or quarterly.
If you’d be interested in participating when/if available in a Build Party on a CNC Mill please show your interest by stating so here. Please include number of lowers and mfg of lower, and whether it is billet or forged.
Shop was thinking appointment every 20 mins with a 75.00 rental cost for machine to do the work. Experienced machinist will be available to oversee your progress.
My lowers were BRS billet and my jig from Chris does BRS and Tactical Machine forgings from what I understand. Other MFg we will have to get a jig or modify the one we have.
    Please list your interest here:
    Thank You,

Just the thread I was looking for. I was looking at buying an AR45, 80% lower and building one myself. The problem is, I have no clue what I would be doing and would need lots of guidance and probably someone to tell me "it's okay, you're still special" at times This would be my first build. I am also planning to build an AR10; so I may just start ordering all the parts now. Good to know I can rent all the tools necessary and have some guys who actually know what they are doing around to help.

I am a newbie to the idea of building my own AR-15. I just joined AR-15 Colorado today (August 8). I haven't bought anything yet, but I think I will be buying a quality billet 80% lower.

A build party that is able to rent a CNC machine for finishing off my lower is a very attractive idea. I live in Fort Collins, but I'd be perfectly willing to drive to Colorado Springs if that is what it took get good results. Please let me know if this group forms.
