    Default DIY: Leather

So, I need to add a small piece (1x1 inch?) of leather to my holster to cover the threaded barrel from digging into leg....

How do I start? I have NO knowledge in this area...

Gun is a G19, extended/threaded barrel. Holster is a Crossbreed Supertuck for G26. The 19 fits perfectly, just the leather backing is a little too short. I could send it back to Crossbreed and they can do it for $40 but I think I might be able to do it cheaper myself with a little guidance.

    Thanks.

You can find everything you'll need here http://www.coloradoleathergoods.com/ (they're near Old Colorado City).

I'm thinking I'd just buy a piece of leather large enough to replace the entire backing and cut it to the shape you want instead of trying to tack a bit of leather on the end (which would probably not be smooth and would be as annoying against the body as the muzzle of your piece). Then its just a matter of cutting the shape and drilling holes to bolt the holster body and clips onto.

Maybe take the holster down to them and show them what you want to do and they might be able to give you some advice.
