Default Stupid paperwork came back from the ATF. Did I do this correctly?

My form 4 went out 6 months ago. I got a call from Whistling Pines this morning that it had come back to them with a problem. I ran down there to see what was up, and the ATF sent me back a form to certify that I'm a US Citizen. There wasn't much to fill out, just the name of the applicant and the name of the person certifying that he is a US citizen. The folks at WP thought I should be certifying myself, so I put my name in as the one certifying to my US citizenship as well as the applicant. There was no explanation on the form and the WP folks seemed like it was new to them as well.

Did I do the right thing, or should I expect it to come back again?

As an aside, it was quite a disappointment to see their number come up on my phone only to find out there was a problem. Grrr.

    Tim,
This is a Certificate of Compliance form 5330.20 they asked you to fill out correct? If so you do certify yourself as a citizen of the United States of America and sign the bottom. I can send you a sample form this evening if you would like.

The good news is if you received an error letter they are processing your forms so as soon as they receive the corrections back your stamp should be approved in 2-3 weeks.

    Chris,

That was indeed the form, and that is good news. Thanks for putting my mind at ease. I guess it won't be long now.

Sorry I was not there to talk you through filling out the 5330. I am just a Friday dude.

The next time WPGC calls it will be good news.

    And pictures of new toy.

I forgot to sign the 5330.20 one time

DO make copies for your records. This way IF the NFA branch contacts you , there is paperwork for you to reference.
