worst part of running your own business is chasing people down for money.

A person who doesn't pay is not a good customer.
And you are not the first person they have screwed over, letting them complain to their friends just keeps more of those losers away from your business.

My favorite was when you called and called and they finally went "oh, it went out weeks ago, can you wait one more day?" (ok, it's always possible the USPS does lose stuff)

and the next day the check shows up

Late last night, bottom of last email:

"Be a man and do the right thing and take the lock off by 8:00 am tomorrow or it will be cut off!."

Well it's after 8:00, gonna call the facility manager and see is he would mind looking at the trailer and verify if the lock has been removed.
    Then proceed as needed.

I don't understand, he told you to be a man and cut the lock?
Also, did the police tell you guys that you couldn't lock the trailer?

The reply: I'll be happy to remove the lock when I have cash in hand for repairs that were completed over a month ago. Checks or credit cards will not be accepted.

No we can lock it, boot it, have it towed. No problem Jeffco sherriff said if HE cut the lock then he commits a crime.

I think he said the Jeffco Sheriff said it was illegal for the customer to cut it off.

Oh I see, thanks for the clarification. So are you going to be a real man and give away free labor? If so, I've got a few projects in mind.

I am so sick of the increasing amount of "entitled" people running around.

When offering first call settlements for minor injuries, we are encouraged to use phrases like, "Due to your injury, you are entitled to a settlement of $XXX.XX" or whatever. I have a harder time with my phrasing because I refuse to use any variation of the word "entitled" in my vocabulary.
