HOAX:
PRESS RELEASE
from Perazzi S.p.A.
With reference to press reports concerning Daniele Perazzi’s alleged unlawful arrest for terrorism last Saturday in Denver (Colorado), we state that the incident is devoid of any foundation and the news is completely fabricated.
Daniele Perazzi (founder of Perazzi SpA) died last year, and his son Mauro was not in the United States last Saturday.
The Perazzis are not involved in any wrongdoing in any way, shape or form and, to our best knowledge, are not under investigation or scrutiny nor are targets of criminal proceedings.
The Perazzi Company, contrarily to what has been reported, is very familiar with the US legislation on weapons due to its extensive presence in the American market.
Perazzi is considering to take legal action to protect the brand and the Company’s reputation in the USA.

Holy crap, did anyone hear this is a hoax?

Best way to get in to see me at the shop is to call or email Shannon and make an appointment.
http://www.9news.com/news/article/33...-called-a-hoaxThe only cited source in the FOX31 report was an unnamed female attorney reportedly representing Perazzi.
9NEWS has learned that source was 27-year-old Korrine Aguirre of Walsenburg, in southern Colorado.
Reached by phone Tuesday night, Aguirre confirmed that she was FOX31's "attorney" source.
"Yeah," Aguirre said. "There was a comment that I had made the other day that I probably shouldn't have made."
"Apparently that blew up a lot bigger than it was supposed to," Aguirre said.
When Aguirre was asked if she actually is an attorney, the phone line went dead and she did not answer repeated return calls.
An online resume claims she graduated from the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law in 2011. A DU spokesperson was not immediately able to confirm that.
Aguirre does not appear in the state's database of attorneys maintained by the Colorado Supreme Court.
.. but hey, another +1 for Italian female gunmakers (even married ones) ...

The Fox31 reporter who broke the story said again today that she thinks there is truth to this story on the Peter Boyles show. Fox is sticking to their story. Even though the Adams County SO basically said Fox31 is full of shit.
From a press release from the Adams County SO regarding their time looking into the Fox report...
The investigation revealed that
the Adams County Sheriff’s Office had no involvement with detaining, arresting, questioning, or being in
contact with any person from the Perazzi Corporation or any other person at the Denver Mart regarding
this alleged incident.Wow. It's safe to say the SO is not very happy with Fox31 right now...This is truly an unfortunate instance where Fox 31 dropped the ball and alleged our involvement when we
had none. It is stunning to us that they have not stepped up and said they were wrong. We dedicated a
number of hours by three different Divisions in our agency to investigate the Fox 31 report. I believe Fox
31 Denver and Hendrik Sybrandy had a responsibility to fact check and extensively verify information
prior to going on the air and making claims that were false. Additionally, I would like to thank 9 News
Denver for taking the time and making an effort to set the record straight. Responsible reporting is
appreciated by citizens and law enforcement alike.

A search for "perazzi" on Fox31 turns up nothing. Seems like they have removed all mention of this story from their website. However, has anyone seen anything from them actually saying "well, we were wrong, sorry folks."?
