However, to simplify life, I did add a VersaMax Tactical I'd been putting off for HD/maybe going 3-gunning and another M&P 9 because buying another pistol was more value-added than trying to buy spare M&P mags at this point. I also got a great deal on an M&P 10 that I "needed" to run the MAGPUL Airlift 7.62 mags... Still waiting on the optic/stock and I MAGPUL'ed the rifle in tribute.

You better include 5K minimum of ammo or come 2014 you'll have an expensive boat anchor. What the .gov has not banned by law they will ban with import restrictions.

So what regarding a new gun ? Buy mags now then when the gun does come in you'll have mags and hopefully reasonably priced ammo, if you don't reload. The H&K is a nice gun but the mags are unreasonably priced, upcoming ban or not
