Chicken pooper, doesn't have any sort of spine! He wants everything to be rainbows and lollipops, every one to live in peace and tranquility. Ban guns, save the murderers. He doesn't have a clue to the consequences of this Utopian dream he has visions of. He will and can never be a STRONG leader. Just a yes man in some president's cabinet. He is just a weak man who wants to please everyone as long as it doesn't involve "bad" things like guns. As far as Fields goes, she doesn't matter in his career agenda. She is an idiot anyway.
