PMAG don't stand for Porno Mag boys
"Rifles Only" Long Range Precision Rifle class
Another Rifles Only course sponsored by The Firing Line. This will be an incredible opportunity to learn the art of long range shooting in a unique format, from an instructor who is widely regarded as being the best in the business! This class will be limited to 10 students with 3 instructors. The first class is filled already. There will be lots of one-on-one time with this ratio. This is another 4-day course, to be held June 13 thru the 16th (this coming month!). Cost is $1195. Round count will be approx. 400, probably more. Suppressors will be made available to those students who may have a suppressor-ready platform but do not have their suppressor yet. I was out shooting on this property last weekend, it is beautiful property in Orchard, CO. Distances up to a mile depending on ability, most shooting will be done between 500 and 1000 yards +!
Training Topics to include;
Fundamentals of marksmanship;
Recoil management;
Positional shooting;
Moving targets;
Trajectory and wind compensation;
Use of the milliradian system for range estimation;
Target detection;
Shot placement;
Internal, external and terminal ballistics;
Data gathering and usage;
Precision shot placement under high stress;
Effects of temperature on bullet placement;
Care and choosing the right precision rifle and optics to suit your purpose.
There will be some really superb shooters and instructors in this class. Another opportunity for Denver-area shooters to learn from the best in a student and shooter-friendly environment. It will be challenging to students at all ability levels. For a more thorough synopsis, equipment list and to sign up- contact Richard Taylor or Dave Bayer or Len at The Firing Line, 303/363-0041.
Ammo will be avail for purchase if needed for students.

Also- this not a totally "out in the heat" deal. Much of the classroom training is indoors and long distance shooting can be done from the large open end of a modern "barn". Not an out of the back of your pick up deal. A large part of this course covers technical aspects of long range shooting, stuff you can take with you, not a bunch of guys trying to prove who's best. Listen, learn and practice.
