While his museum is impressive, I am not a fan of getting muzzle swept constantly by a bunch of 18 year olds who just bought their first $300 SKS off armslist and don't have a darn clue how to safely use the thing...

Last time I was there, one of the ROs walked up and picked up my pistol to verify it was cleared during a ceasefire. Didn't ask permission, just grabbed it. When I told him it didn't have a slide lock, he took the liberty of sticking a dirty steel case off the ground into it to hold the slide open while flagging the couple next to me.

On top of that, every time Mel runs his mouth on TV or the radio, he gives the gun grabbers tons of ammo...

Needless to say, I won't ever be going back.
    My Feedback

"I am a conservative. Quite possibly I am on the losing side; often I think so. Yet, out of a curious perversity I had rather lose with Socrates, let us say, than win with Lenin."

If your a family guy, go for it. The kids/wife will complain on the drive out and be stoked on the way back.
Thanks for the feedback from everyone. I still had a good time at Dragonmans and would recommend it (at least once!).
Does Ben Lomond have the one shot per second rule as some ranges do or is it a little more liberal with that? Not looking to mag dump but would like to be able to send a couple down range at a time...

No, you can shoot anything you want to out there, except for cannons and artillery. Full-auto and bump-firing is common, just pick up your trash please and don't shoot up the target frames! No range officers either. Donations of home-made target frames are always welcome, it's very easy to make two of them from three standard 2x4's.

Once you've been financially cornholed by Mel, that opinion will change.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like it is worth checking out. It would be great to find somewhere semi-close...

I figured I'd bump this thread. I've been traveling between Parker and Schriever while on orders and have driven past his signs a couple of times now, curiosity has bit and I'll probably stop by after work tomorrow to check this place out.

That last 1/2 mile drive to the building is an experience all its own.

Wasn't able to make it today but I'll be back down on Sunday. His prices don't seem to bad on Facebook.
