"Okay, okay, we got this idea for a movie- this is great, so an asteroid/comet is headed toward earth, and it will kill everyone, so we're gonna send a space ship up to the asteroid/comet, drill into it, plant a bomb, and have it blow up and miss earth. Pretty neat huh?" And they did this twice!
