I don't want to hear about LGBT issues at work anymore than I want to hear about your "booze and broads" filled weekend at work. STFU and earn your dang paycheck and we'll get along just fine. It isn't an LGBT concern; it's a concern of appropriate behavior/discussion at work.

Agreed. I have NO idea why these issues are a government concern at all.

My main issue with this is twofold:

#1: They're not just trying for acceptance and tolerance - they want to be fucking celebrated. I'm sure they all equate themselves to the black civil rights movement, but I sure as hell don't. I happen to believe homosexuality is not only against nature, but a sin as well. Doesn't mean I would deny one of them the same rights I enjoy, but I'll be damned if I'm going to let the gov't tell me how to think about it.

#2: This is an issue of who/how you like to fuck, plain and simple. This is NOT something that should even be discussed in the workplace. It's not like they're being discriminated against for something they can't help, like their appearance, or a disability. Most of the gays I know aren't the flamboyant, Liberace impersonators that they're stereotyped as. They're ordinary people. As such, the only opportunity for trouble to arise is when discussing their dating/fucking habits at work. Which already has a set of laws.

Oh, and if you're a guy wearing a dress, trying to use the women's john? You should get your ass beat for it, or treated medically for the psyche issues you're expecting celebration for.

I don't want the DoJ to be gay or bi or straight or whatever. I want them to spend forty hours a week locking up bad guys who intimidate voters in Cleveland (oops) and who ship guns to cop killers in Mexico (oops) and who misuse government regulatory power to harass political opponents (oops) and then piss off and go home and do whatever it is that they do on their own time.

Whether they prefer pickles over tacos means nothing to their worth, and is frankly not appropriate workplace conversation. If they have enough people with enough free time to even get stuck into this crap, then maybe RiF is to be considered.
