    Default Gun buy-back ... sells-back

    Saw this one today: http://www.breitbart.com/system/wire...31-114407-6464

I guess I'm confused. I thought the whole point of gun buy-backs was to "get guns off the streets." So, by selling them back to dealers, isn't that reversing the issue? I suppose I could see the idea as "buying back" illegally-obtained guns and "making them legal," but it still sounds quite strange to me, having the PD as a sort of middle-man.

(/tinfoilhat In the future, there will be mandatory buy-backs and sell-back-back's at a higher cost to earn some more money )

Depends on what your goal really is. If the goal is to get firearms out of the hands of those who don't want them or shouldn't have them then this was successful. If the goal is to reduce the total number of firearms in public possession then no buy back will ever succeed.
If you want peace, prepare for war.
