i need good child hiking boots
the ones we got from walmart for 5 bucks suck(who woulda thought) i need tough boots for my daughter that are cactus resistant can someone recommend a quality brand that wont break the bank..... 40-50 bucks

Keep an eye out on http://www.hitthebreakroom.com/ danner sells their seconds cheap, I've got a pair from there and so did my wife and mine were seconds due to a scuff on the toe and hers had a really small dark spot that took a while for us to find. don't know what size your daughter is but they go down to a 5 in womens .
