Let's hope! I'm so glad it's over and the rain storm the other night was nothing short of perfect! My neighbor came home yesterday, pulled his wildland gear out and said "Now that that's over, can we call this year done with for wild fires?" Zero structures lost, and I think I saw the total cost was $80K in firefighting expenses. Job well done!

I don't live on Brook Forest- I live off of Buffalo Park, over by the HS. We didn't evac, but our friends who live just passed Blue Creek Rd on Brook Forest had to evac for a few hours the first night, but were home in time for bed. Sad part is, on the clear other side of downtown, they evacuated Forest Hill! Fail!

yeah that storm was pretty timely, unless you were in a tent LOL we were camping in the school yard next to the fire station in Bergen Park, the lightning was the only thing that woke me up but a few of our guys ran to the trucks LOL, who ever owns that house on top of the hill has an incredible view, and we saw a few Elk and about 10 Muleys right below the fire area so it looks like the wildlife stayed put which is a very good sign.

The area below that house was pretty nuked though and will need a lot of rehab before it will come back, luckily its not a large area.
Don't follow me you won't MAKE IT!
