Nope, grap the 30 round magazines FIRST, then the guns, THEN the ammo, then the other mags. Because the guns are replaceable, the 30rd mags won't be in less than a month. Still feelin' for you guys.

UPDATE: Evergreen Fire Command and General Staff briefing is currently underway. Fire is roughly 4 acres. We had a huge botch in the CodeRED alert system. EVPD Chief contacted Jeffco Incident Center to issue a 1mile radius Level 3 Evacuation. Somehow the message came out and was issued at 4mi radius (which is pretty much the majority of Evergreen). So big screw up there, really hurts both the FD and JCSO as they'll get the blunt of the blame- despite it being the company they outsource that to.

Grandparents are within .8 mi from the fire, not leaving, they're not at risk. We're about 3.5mi from the fire, staying put. Looks like it's not really getting much steam, it's being fought pretty good right now, multiple departments involved, including Foothills Fire, Elk Creek, Inter-Canyon, Indian Hills Fire/Rescue and other surrounding departments. From the aerial views it doesn't look like a real bad fire, it's staying pretty low in the brush, thus far no structures have been lost. Evacuation orders have not been lifted at this time.

Latest update from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Public Information Officer: ATT fire is 0% contained, although it is laying down as fires do in the evening. Zero structures have been lost that they know of. Current size is estimated between 25-35 acres. Crews will be on site through the night to monitor the fire, with full force resuming at 0800 tomorrow. Fire's location is currently .5mi from the Jefferson/Clear Creek county border in a densely wooded area. Some evac orders lifted, JCSO is advising large animals stay at Jeffco Fairgrounds in case renewed evac goes into effect. More updates tomorrow morning.

I am up here as well. Evacuation zone has been reduced and most families have been allowed back to homes. We were under the Stage 3 evac and have been allowed back in. We are staged and ready to roll at a moments notice.

Winds have subsided and ground crews are in place for the evening. Fire appears to be laying down. Weather looks favorable for tomorrow as well. Winds can be very unpredictable and everyone in effected area should remain vigilant.

    Stay safe.

Do you live up Brook Forest? I had some friends over in El Pinal get packed up, I was telling them "Even a worst-case scenario you guys wouldn't get hit until Friday at the earliest... relax." That reverse 911 snafu sure did put the entire town in near-full panic mode.

Latest update as per Jeffco Sheriff:
Active fire burned overnight, strange behavior for higher humidity and lower temps at night, had to be fought. The fire is estimated at 15 acres now burning heavy, dry fuels. No change to evacuated area from last night, approx 140 homes. Jeffco and EVFD to investigate for cause and origin of fire today. Winds expected this afternoon so the efforts will be to try and get as much containment as possible before the winds pick up. There is a line around the fire, but it is not considered "under control." Containment remains at a conservative 0% this morning.

Thus far not too much. It did snow here a few weeks ago, rained a couple times, but despite it being so green it is still very dry. We need some rain today, bad.

Fires out Ronin, we were all over that hill the last couple days but no matter what we did Mother nature made it look easy the last 24 hours, got to hand it to Evergreen Fire, Elk Creek Fire and Juniper Valley Inmate Crew.

They are watching it for hot spots now but I think its safe to say mother nature is doing a nice soak of the area.

Pretty nice fire though couple acres were really hot.

Great news, thanks to all. Hopefully that is the only one we'll all have to deal with this year.
