Gov. Christie -NJ- Open Senate seat
Sounds like he just told both parties to pound sand.. He's not appointing anyone (to a perm seat), holding a special election.
With a primary run off!
Not sure that I can hate him anymore.

Not sure what to think about it, but I still think he's a blowhard. I don't mind a politician speaking their mind (it's quite refreshing actually), but I recall times in the past he's gotten defensive because people've done the same back at him. If you can't take it, don't dish it.
He's taking the middle road. He would piss off the Dems and most of the voting NJ population by appointing an R, or he would piss off the Rs by appointing a Dem.
Now his hands are washed, and it's "up to the people" (as well as their outside interests).
To question your government is not unpatriotic — to not question your government is unpatriotic.
Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.
But, it's for the children!
If he's not for us, he's against us. He was a fat Democrat with a mouthful of Obama's ass before all this happened. Now he's a wishy-washy, fat Democrat with a mouthful of ass.

He didn't have the balls to appoint a Republican (which is what most Republican governors would do in this situation) because he's afraid the leftist run media won't love him anymore.
