    Default New Connecticut Law

I have mixed feelings on this.

First, I respect the privacy of anyone involved in something as terrible and tragic as the Newtown shooting.

But I have reservations about a state passing laws that specifically circumvent the Freedom of Information Act. Seems like it opens the door to a whole bunch of problems.

    [insert slippery slope argument here]

I don't for a moment believe that this law was to protect the feelings of the families ... I suspect that there's a lot of lies being told to the people about what really went down there (particularly about what guns he used) to push a political agenda. Those lies need to be covered up.

Wonder how long until they find a way to concoct these kinds of laws to protect the IRS, EPA and other rogue government agencies.

This is my thought as well... it just gives a foot in the door to "special circumstances" to go around the FOI

This doesn't even qualify as tinfoil theory... it's a blatant tip-of-the-wedge control on information that doesn't fit their agenda. Bet they wish they'd been able to pass this pre 9-11

I hate this gov't so much, I'm seething.

Yep. FOIA squarely conflicts with the Ministry Of Information's purpose. Time to wake up sheeple!

Of course, that is exactly what is going on.

Well I guess we will never get to see PHSYCO BOY entering the building waving his BUSHMASTER AR like reported. Remember Columbine? They had plenty of video proof to show.
If this school had such a high tech camera system they could put the story to rest.

Convenient how laws are passed so quickly to cover up things.
Dont get me wrong, I do not want the pics of the kids shown, just a little bit of proof about old numb nuts. Funny how that story has magically disappeared.

The way the article reads .. that could still be shown. just can't show any of the kids/teachers before or after death.

But yeah I'd like to see footage of the shooter with the AR in hand... course by now it could just be faked anyways.
