There is some truth to that - Don't look like an easy target. On the other hand, if someone is actually going to attack you in a "gun free zone", you may as well drop your trousers and grab your ankles.

Agreed. That's the point - they do this in PREFERENCE to allowing concealed carry. Defensive tactics are great as long as there's something to back them up.
