I keep a few of the plastic ones just in case I sell or need to ship one off and toss, sell or give away the rest, if I kept them all i'd have to apply to be on hoarders.

Just put half of the firearms back in their boxes and ship them to me. Problem solved.

Are you talking cardboard box or the plastic case that they came in?

I guess it doesn't matter though, as my answer is keep them both. Whether you plan to sell and ship to an FFL out of state (or even in-state), or if you plan on going hunting or to a competition and need to ship the rifle/shotgun to yourself in another state, the cardboard shipping box could be very convenient to have.

All that aside, hoarding boxes is fun, even if you don't have space!

For a nominal monthly fee, I will store those boxes in my attic for you.

Having the original packaging can make the difference of hundreds of dollars if you decide to sell the item.

Attics and garages are there for a reason. You don't have to have the boxes sitting around in the house but I definitely wouldn't toss them. Hell, twenty years from now I bet even a Kel-Tec in the original box will fetch a few dollars more than one without the box.

Depends on what it is, how much it cost and what the likelihood of me selling in the future. In most cases I keep them.
