Sight fishing??
Thats when you actively look for fish in a river (polarized sunglasses are a must) then cast directly to that fish. fish in rivers are lazy, they find a good spot and wait for the current to bring food to them. generally speaking they don't like to move far for a meal so putting flies directly in front of them suits their feeding habits. Don't get me wrong. blind casting into suspect water produces fish to but sight fishing really increases your catch rate.
