I just moved, changed my addy on the DMV website, then as per their instructions put a sticker with my new address on the back of my DL. Will this create any problems on a background check, just seemed strange using just a sticker? Thanks!

If you have a ccw or second I'd normally its cool, I have had the sticker for 8 years on my 10 year license and every now and then I get some pencil jockey bust in my balls on gun and fishing/hunting license purchases. It would be worth the $25 to get the new license, but not the 3 hour wait at the DMV.

No. Putting the new address on the back is fine. If concerned the gunstore is going to be picky, a vehicle registration reflecting the current address or a hunting or fishing license are the two most common secondary state issued IDs.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.
Anyone that thinks war is good is ignorant. Anyone that thinks war isn't needed is stupid.
I always use my vehicle registration for gun purchases.
