    Smile Hello from a new member!

    Hi folks,

    New member here. Moved to Colorado about 1 1/2 years ago. Previously lived in anti-gun states (IL & MA) and very glad to live in gun-friendly Colorado! I just entered the world of the EBR with an order for a AR, also looking to pick up an AK. Sad that it will be a couple of weeks before it gets here. I've met one member here on the XDTalk forum and looking forward to meeting others.

    Welcome, Steve good to see you made it, this is a great bunch of people with some of the best info on the web. When you get your new rifle we will need to go out and test that bad boy. I got your PM. Last time I went out with my S&W M&P I found out that it doesn't like to run dry, just one of the things you will need to learn about your AR. Learn your iron's before you start putting on a bunch of optics.

    You've got me curious where you lived in IL and MA.
    I lived in SW IL (O'Fallon/Belleville area) from 85-88, then again in 89-95 (took a year off to enjoy the sights and smells of Kimchee-land while stationed at Osan AB, ROK.

    I lived in MA (between Lexington & Bedford) from 03-05.

    This site is full of a lot of great folks who know a heck of a lot about "evil black guns" and who are always friendly (unlike you typically find in MA!)

    I lived in Chicago for about the past 4 years (talk about a VERY anti-gun city/county). I grew up in the suburbs of Boston but was living in the Boston/Allston/Brighton area for a while when I was out of college. I had my FOID in IL, but the laws were so restrictive in the city that I didn't get into firearms. I also had my LTC Class B (no concealed carry, just high capacity) in MA, but just as I was about to get into firearms, I moved to Chicago. I'm loving Colorado!
