We're now mandatory evac. Lots of wind from the south, smoke and ash starting to fall. Time to GTFO.

Be safe. Ash has been falling off and on for about 3 hours. Since it isn't moving too much east, we're still okay.
Do you need any help? Best of luck.

Thanks but were good, my parents are leaving with the last load.
I'm feeling lucky but the next 12 hours will tell the tale.

Watching #2 taxi out on KOAA right now..
Wanted to offer up a place for any evacs. I have a fenced yard for the dogs. Plenty of parking for vehicles/trailers and alot of indoor storage as well. Also I'm pretty much here all day so you won't have to worry about your stuff. If your animals are friendly they most likely will end up in the house with my daughter.
I am at 7200 feet on the NW side of Colo. Springs. I can watch the fire from the end of my block. The high winds from the SE are expanding the fire and pushing it north.
I cannot imagine how this could be stopped in the high winds.
I see lots and lots of dark smoke flares meaning buildings are being consumed. This is just awful. This may end up as bad a last year's Waldo Canyon fire.
I hope everyone can stay out of harm's way.
