    Default Allergies

So I usually have allergies, nothing too bad, but this year...damn. I wake up with eyes welded shut, runny nose all day, and now the eyes are itching. I don't know what is bad this year, molds, pollen, etc, but I need to find something that works. It probably doesn't help being an HVAC guy dealing with dirty coils and all but something has to help. Anybody have suggestions? Walmart used to have some generic white box, white pills that kicked ass but haven't seen it in a couple years.

I take generic Zyrtec and it seems to take 90% of the symptoms away. I heard Claritin is also a good one, but never used it myself. I'm right there with you. If I don't take a daily allergy pill, my life is a living hell.

My allergies were bad earlier this spring, nose was clogged and wouldn't clear up. I took a shit load of penicillin and now I am clear! I guess it was an infection this whole time. Last time I went to the VA in Denver, they wanted to clear it up with surgery! Oh hell no, not another surgery...

x2 for Zyrtec. One pill lasts all day little white ones. I just bought 400 on amazon for ~$20. You can get the big pack at Costco and sams club for about the same. Otherwise it's expensive at Walgreens and other places.

try zyrtec, if it doesn't work try claritin, if it works but you're still stuffy try claritin D. That's what the doc told me.

Try adding local wild honey to your breakfast, I haven't taken a pill in a month doing this. I clean a coil about every day right now.

Tree pollen is what is heavy now. Try some allergy eye drops for instant relief. I like the all natural kind, less sodium.

I use Alavert. Tends to kill the effects pretty good without making me into a zombie like most of them do to me.

I've been using generic Claritin (loratidine) for a few days now, and feel like a new person. Normally very rarely allergic, but have been slammed with the above-average pollen count this year.
