I can sympathize with the homeowner.. but DTV is not in the wrong. Claim the insurance and move on.

Smart move on their behalf as far as PR wise. It s however still wrong to assume everyone must give you charity when you are down as the original post is all about. It's their choice... Whether its bad or good for their image.

Of course they would "admit" they were in the wrong, the homeowner went and cried to the press, what choice did they have? I feel for all the victims, I really do, but the homeowner was in the wrong, plain and simple, you turn the equipment in to insurance like all your other items, and if you don't have homeowners, then I really pity you because you are that dumb.
