Default New toy! (not a gun)

In three weeks I go get my new toy. I have the GTO and the 2+2 but there is a silver lining in all the mess that is going on and that is there are some deals out there. I sold my last 2nd gen F-body 2 years ago and seeing that I got lucky with my retirement funds a present was in order.

Now I have been known to restore many cars in the day but they are taking longer as I get older. So I bought one that was already finished.

76, 455 4-speed. The good thing is I get to go back and see the parents while I pick the car up. Hope the weather clears up a little.

Congrats and I am sure you know that is the last year you could even get a 455 in a TA. It was also an option so I doubt many were made.

Yea I have had a few Pontiac's. The 455 was pretty common for 76. there were 7,099 455 base cars that year out of 46,704 TA's sold. The 4-speed was the only tranny available because of the switch to the th350 in 75.
    Thanks for the complements gang.

Think about this only 7,099 ever produced and how many are left in existence. Not to mention how many in that condition trust me that is a rare car. I would be willing to bet many of them are long gone.

I bet the 4 speed is a m21 to bad it was not a m22 rock crusher. 1975 was the begining of the end for muscle cars do to EPA regs.

I have a 1973 formula 400 but it is nothing as it was stock but I still keep it.

4 speed is a S-T10. They switched mid 74. 4-speed cars always took the biggest hit when it came to decreasing #'s. I remember back when all the nice GTO's that were showing up (mid 80's) were autos with AC. We call then "secretaries cars" I had a 73 Formula but it was a 350 car with a 4-speed. Odd color combo with Regatta blue on an Oxblood interior.

75 was the year of the cat. even looking stock this one has been completely de-smogged. As far as the second gens go my order of preference is 70,72,71,73,74,75,78,77,76,79,80,81. The color combo is what sucked me in.

Look forward to meeting you some day.
