    Default Recommendation needed...

    Hey everyone,

I just received my ccw, and what I am looking for now is someone to show me proper draw technique, and stance, etc. (Not looking to go over laws, as I can read those on my own time).

Want to get some help before I carry. Looking for someone in Northern CO.

    Thanks.

    Worth the drive, no doubt.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

Not to be a wet blanket, why didnt you take a CCW class that would have shown you these techniques?

I know you said northern Colorado, but if you ever find yourself in the Springs give me a shout. I am far from an expert, but would feel comfortable going over some basics. Plus it's an excuse for me to hit the range.

JIM is north and I have heard good things about him. I did my ccw through him and it was great.
My EDC: Handcuffs, Bandana, and Ball Gag.

If I'm ever at a party and the cops come to arrest people. Ill blindfold myself, throw the ball gag in, handcuff my hands, and hide in a closet. Police never arrest hostages!

Never shot with jim but I've bought a gun from him and he's good people.

I have had training from Swainson before, and would also recommend him.

Find someone who will break it down for you. There are usually five steps to the draw that we teach at Gunsite but some teach a four step draw. The big thing is be safe and keep the finger off the trigger until the sights are aligned on the target and do not speed reholster. Go slow to start and speed will come with perfect practice. The gun accidents I have seen are usually associated with speed reholstering. Let me know if you get to the Parker area and I will go over the pistol presentation from the holster with you.
