Default Only in Chicago, or realistcally (coming soon) other areas of the country. IT'S WHITEY'S FAULT

For the shitty education / public school debacle in Chicago. She does kill 2 birds with 1 stone, as she includes the Catch Phrase. RICH WHITE PEOPLE.

“There is something about these folks who love the kids but hate the parents,” Lewis inveighed. “There’s something about these folks who use little black and brown children as stage props at one press conference while announcing they want to fire, layoff or lock up their parents at another press conference.”
Lewis called for “an end to corporate subsidies and loopholes.” She demanded “progressive taxation” to close the $1 billion budget deficit currently facing the Second City and its public schools

FSA mentality at it's finest. Kids as props are horrible, UNLESS it's for a Liberal Agenda.

However i don't "think" she has a valid argument, yet. How could this be true if Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were not quoted or involved

These people NEVER look at their own actions, they accept no responsibility at all. Keep taxing the producers and the producers will take their businesses elsewhere, then people like this will get what they deserve, living in the gutter where they belong.

Why dont we just make the people with children pay for their children's education. Then maybe they will take it seriously and actually pay attention and learn something. Paying for schools with property taxes is stupid when half the people with kids dont own property, why should I have to pay for some kid to go to school and fail.

This is the correct way to do it. This argument comes up at least once a year.

Short answer is because most parents are simply sperm or egg donors, after sexual congress the product is society's problem.

because an educated society is a stronger society. without societal investment in the education of the community's youth we would be afganisthan living in the stone ages.

You had the benifits of a better education because society ponied up for the bill. if they arent educated they will be stealing your car. there will always be a certain percentage of the population that will flunnk out of school . the majority that do not are worth paying for.
Self control: The minds ability to override the body's urge to beat the living sh.. out of some ass.... who desperately deserves it.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

Considering how much money this country spends on education we are way down the list as far as educated countries are concerned. School is seen by the majority of freeloaders as free child care and they dont care whether their brats learn anything or not. Make them pay something for it and maybe they would care a little more.

I never went to public school, me and my sister both attended private school. And if my single mother who never made more than 12 dollars an hour can work her ass off to help us go to school then the lazy ass parents out there can do the same. I worked full time through high school and college to help pay for my schooling, and am still paying off college. It should be part of the decision when you have kids, can I afford to educate them. Its not like there is a shortage of people on this planet, maybe just wanted children is not enough reason to have them.

Get real tired of listening to people who think the government owes them something. All they want is free this and free that. Well guess what, this country cant afford the freeloaders any more. Good grief, isnt colorado up to 90 some weeks of unemployment benefits. Just ridiculous.

If the results of Public School education were better than they are now i would support it. However when the PS system has become nothing more than a place to promote an Agenda of Diversity and PC'ness. IF it fits the Teachers Union's train of thought then no. Suspending a child (elementary school age) because they say BANG, or have a pop tart that "Looks Like a gun" brings the school to a standstill, with mass e-mails sent explaining the offense, offering counseling for those affected, we have gone way off the path of education.

Not to mention the Blatant cries of RACIST vs. actually sitting down and try figuring out away to get kids to learn something.
Does anyone believe if a person of lighter skin was to say It's the Blacks, who are bringing the education system down. Would still be employed or have made more of a media headline then the one i linked to.

I am in favor of the vouchers and selecting where your kid goes to school, with them getting the money. Would be nice if those without kids could do more or less the same. "Oh, that school is a dump while this one actually cares for their kids? I'll send my money to the latter!"

    So much win right here!

Rockhound- I don't see us getting our money's worth right now from the public school system. They don't spend the money wisely at all, the system is screwed up and we're churning out lower preforming students every year. Not every school, but I have little faith in the PS system and when/if I have kids, they will go private for sure.
