We saw it. I was really underwhelmed. It was OK in terms of entertainment...but I left feeling very unsatisfied for some reason. Like when people say they eat Chinese food for dinner and they're hungry again right after. Just something missing.

Yea, if it would have been more like the book, where the war lasted some 10 years and no "cure" was found, then it would have been more to my liking. But to sell that to the masses would have been hard.
