I've been very surprised at the number of posts on the web that seem to think that getting your head bounced repeatedly on concrete is of little consequence, almost as if that activity alone wouldn't cause serious injury.

I think those saying that should volunteer to prove their point.

Ben Shapiro at 6:40 gives a pretty good legal recap on why this is epic BS and why if he gets convicted GZ will spend a good amount of time in jail. He also talked about the opposite of jury nullification which I vaguely remember someone in this thread mentioning way back about on page three....
I still think the prosecution won this case for the defense!

Yes they did. HOWEVER the Court of Public Opinion has a noose and line of people, including our own CIC ready to put it over Z's head.

I can't help but think that Sharpton/Jackson/Etc. would actually like for Zimmerman to be acquitted so that they can get on their pulpits and rage on about "racial injustice".

If recent polls are correct and blacks are more racist than whites (the poll even indicated most blacks believed that), then we may be returning to the 1950s in Mississippi - but in reverse. Most people aren't racist, but if they are living in fear of other races this can lead to bad places. Many think the witness Rachel Jeantal was being 100% honest when she described TM describing GZ as a "Creepy ass cracker" and also didn't think that was a racist comment. If blacks in their own communities talk about whites in that way, I am concerned where this will lead. Many on the left fan the flames of racial division every chance they get and cry racism any time anyone disagrees with them or a progressive brother/sister. Then if this trial is used as the "justification" for black racial violence, this will increase fear and lead to further division. I can say that I truly do not know any racist person, no matter what race. However, good people can still fear others and be concerned for their own and their family's safety.

The sad thing is this is receiving enough attention to capture a long running thread on this forum. However; I will be glued to the TV/radio waiting for:

The white/hispanic riots that occur because Mr. Zimmerman is convicted of manslaughter.

The overwhelming support from the media and the drones regarding our criminal justice system; and how the whole indictment, trial, and prosecution was factually based, and not racially biased.

A huge outcry of support by all citizens for the ability to be able to be armed and ready to defend their life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness without the aid of law enforcement.



Yes, my eyes are brown... And pardon my french; but I'm tired of this shit already. Negroes die by the hands of negroes daily in this country; as do crackers by crackers; but it doesn't hit a media frenzy/public outcry/federal level until one race kills another. Give me a muther-flipping break! We have far bigger issues as a nation then to be worried about this trivial bullshit...

My personal opinion is this: we are sheltered in CO. Racism is rampant on the coasts, large cities, and the south. Go to some of the "larger" news outlets covering this trial, or other racially charged ones, and look at the comments. The hate that is spewed by all sides make the "knee-breakers" and NYCO's on this forum look like saints...

The worst that I've seen in Colorado was either minorities on the RTD (who like as not were told to shut the **** up by other people with the same skin color) or a mouth-breathing inbred at the first Denver Tea Party (who was told to "f*** off and don't talk to me" by at least a few of the white people there.)

Chicago, OTOH, is an all-direction race war just waiting to happen. There's no shortage of reasons why I don't live there any more, and it ain't just the weather.

Yeah, growing up in Michigan I've seen racism going in all directions, and turn violent. Even deadly a couple of times. Mostly whites vs blacks, but in the Detroit area there's a large arab population that would get caught up in it too.

I agree with both of you 100%. I am a "transplant" from VA (NN/Norfolk area for any of you squids), and while it was relatively docile when I growing up in the 70's thru the 80's (there were still problems); it has hit new levels now based on my conversations with family and friends there. This just happened in my old haunting grounds, and this news clip is being conservative to say the least:
