Exactly. I've got a boat load of friends, good friends, on this site and we will all still give each other hell, hang out and shoot like we always do....regardless of this verdict or any other. Rationalizing your dislike of someone because of this trial is stupid. We get so easily played by the media.

Maybe they weren't as tight as you thought if they would throw away a friendship that easily. I have liberal friends and we just don't discuss certain stuff, I'm never gonna convince them to be pro-2A. The most ironic part of all of this is that in DC the politicians on both sides of the aisle are all buddy buddy as soon as they hit the bar.
I've never thought of DC politicians as people who actually care about an issue, it's just a game called politics to them in which they push an agenda that keeps them in office. That game offers lifetime employment, a fantastic retirement/healthcare plan, and all kinds of other benefits unavailable to the peasants.
As for me most people still talk to me and often I find myself as the peace keeper. However my dad, aunts and uncles are the ones fighting it out. As far a politicians I am not impressed that they hang out and party after doing there thing. Maybe that bonding is why this country is where it is at right now? Buddy buddy on things that should not be compromised on is bad for this country.
