Jim mentioned take a stroll through Fresno. We were just through there a couple years ago and couldn't believe the number of folks living UNDER the bridges on a main highway.

I would venture to guess that you haven't been under I-25 from about 6th. ave. north to about I-76 or under I-70 from Wadsworth east to about Quebec lately.

Yeah, I'm surprised at that... are you feeling okay today Luigi?
I see the point here, regardless, you don't have to be religious (or in this case the kind of religion doesn't matter) to see that this pastor makes a great point... Color before all else is wrong.

I just saw this article and thought it might be food for thought for the "No 17 year old anywhere could possibly be a threat to me" crowd. This shining example of citizenship is being indicted for capital murder (killing Officer Molina). I've quoted the relevant part of the article.

While Molina was talking, Gonzalez "struck the victim on the face and then grabbed his legs and threw him to the concrete. (Gonzalez) then got on top of the victim and continued to punch him in the face," the document states. Police said that Molina was knocked unconscious when his head hit the ground, and that Gonzalez continued the assault despite Molina's being unable to defend himself.

You thought wrong. Molina isn't me, so how is it relevant? I never said a 17 year old couldn't beat other people to death in a fight, just that they couldn't beat me to death in a fight, based on the fact that they'd have to get on top of me to do it, and I have 20 years of training and results indicating that it isn't anything for me to be worried about. People can't get on top of me if I don't want them to. I won't hit my head on the concrete when someone takes me down. It doesn't mean I'm tough. It doesn't mean I can throw a punch.

Everyone else, including you, what are you saying? That 17 year olds are a potential threat, so you should carry a firearm? We'll I already do that, and at the point that I felt threatened for my life, I would use it. If someone knocked me out before I felt threatened for my life, which I acknowledge anyone could do, what difference would it make if it were you, me, if you were carrying or not, or what your position was on this issue? You're not going to draw before you feel threatened for your life.

If I got in a fight with a lone unarmed 17 year old, or most people, I wouldn't immediately draw my firearm because I wouldn't be afraid for my life. How does my position differ from yours? How does my position differ from George Zimmerman's? Are you saying that you'd draw your weapon and use it to avoid any fist fight/scuffle with any person? I assume that's what you're saying. If not, what are you saying?

What a pussified country we live in. Half the guys on this forum wouldn't help a woman being killed outside their own door, and the other half are afraid for their life in a little fist fight.
