which is why i always find it disturbing how some on here talk about pulling their piece anytime someone ruffles their feathers. putting yourself in the court's hands is a baaaaaaad idea. i hope this case, if nothing else, reminds those of us that carry what a big responsibility it really is.
the problem here is that we don't know it was a "clean shoot". there is basically no solid evidence either way, if there was just one witness that actively saw the fight go down this wouldn't be such a big deal, the issue is that no one wants a person to get off scot free if it was some racially motivated murder. and of course we don't want a completely innocent guy to spend any time in prison either. everyone has a bias in this case, but if you really look at all the evidence is amazing how such a thing can happen and no one know how it really went down. i definitely don't think there is enough evidence to convict, not even close. but i also don't think there is enough for me to say without a doubt that it happened just as GZ says it did.
I agree with those that say the last 5 years of Obama being president has set us back 40 years in race relations. This whole trial is just another step on that path.
Who on here have said they'll "pull their piece" whenever someone ruffles their feathers? Really? I have yet to hear that...

"The revolution will not be televised... Instead it will be filmed from multiple angles via cell phone cameras, promptly uploaded to YouTube, Tweeted about, and then shared on Facebook, pending a Wi-Fi connection."
I think this whole debacle should serve as a reminder/warning to those of us who carry: unless it directly involves the safety of you and yours, keep your nose (and your gun) out of it. We all want to have our communities back, but NEWSFLASH! your community will not have your back. It sucks to say but that is the reality of our country today.
Also, learn to fight. If GZ knew a simple mount escape we probably wouldn't even be talking about this.

A lawyer once told me that you better have 20k in saving and a ton of free time to fight court battles even if you are on the right side of the law. It's sad that in today's society you are "more guilt, until proven innocent".
Does anyone know the statistics on the cost to fight a concealed carry defense case or how long the average lenght of most court trials and litigation drag on for?
Really, learn to fight? Any specific style you'd like everyone to be proficient in? Should i start some MMA basics, ken po, judo, karate, krav maga. What in your infinite wisdom should "I" become master of?
How about those in wheel chairs and walkers, carrying oxygen, the blind, paraplegic's etc? Not everyone is an able bodied man or woman.
Mount this.
