We had a couple of tables at this weekend's Tanner and, although there was significantly less public that in the past few shows, we had some really good sales numbers. The buying atmosphere seemed to be more relaxed and most vendor's prices were almost back to the pre-Sandy Hook days. Overall it was a good show (at least for us).

Went Sunday afternoon and it was not as crazy as in previous months. Gun prices have come down quite a bit, Glocks in the sub $500 range NIB, basic ARs $750-$950 range depending on manufacturer, stripped lowers $100, they even had a couple of Tavors for $2000.

I saw a bunch of 40 & 30 rd mags modified with rivets so they can only be loaded to 15 rds, but they were not selling.

Ammo and reloading supplies are still outrageous, $80 22lr bricks, $40 50rd 9mm boxes. Sometimes the shooting industry is it's own worst enemy, I'm trying to get a couple of guys at work into the shooting sports (USPSA) but they won't take the plunge due to ammo prices, they said who can afford to shoot with ammo prices so high, a standard match would cost $120-$140

Good, tells me people that attend guns shows are smarter than that. 40 modified to 15... PSHT

Magpul saturated the market with their mags (and I applaud them for that). It will be a while before people start buying magazines again; though I hope that, when they do, we will have gotten rid of the 15-rnd mag limit law.

I worked the friend's tables Saturday. Chatted with Alxone and Ridge for a bit.

Everyone was slow. I picked up a new SIG - P938 Equinox - for a good price from a normally higher priced dealer, especially since it was the only one of that model I saw at the show.

R&S is always setup across from us. I won't speak for Randy, but I'll say again, everyone was slow.

I went mostly looking for ammo and probably checked every vendor for their 9mm prices, the average price for a box of 50 was $20, some asking as high as $30. One guy was selling a box of 50 reloaded 9mm for $10 but I was sketchy on picking them up because he didn't know the guy who reloaded them. The low for a box of 50 factory 9mm rounds was $18 for a chinese brand. Since with shipping I can use gunbot to find 9mm for $.28 a round I walked away with nothing.

.22LR rifle prices seemed a bit high still, and the only glock I looked at was a 26 and it was priced at $530.

I went to check on components. Lead by itself is fine, but $30 a pound for W231 is not. $50+ per thousand on primers, too. Wonder how many of them moved.

One cool thing I saw was a vendor with collapsible/flat-pack target stands and a selection of steel plates to hang off them. Because I am an idiot, I didn't get a card off the guy. Does anyone remember who I'm talking about?

Dad's Wholesale had Winchester SPP for $35/1,000 on Saturday but I think those sold quickly.

Dad's Wholesale refused to sell me .45 bullets a few shows back. I'll never visit them again.
