    Default Congrats to Budda

Well he will be graduating from army basic today. Then he will be off to OCS. I know he didn't follow my example and join the Marine Corps but at least he is serving our country.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

    Congratulations to you Budda.

I'm told that attention to detail is the key to OCS. Best of luck.

Remember that Service to this nation is an honor, not a privilege & being granted the duty of leading other men and women is a responsibility not an exercise in power/authority.

After you graduate OCS, look to your NCO's for guidance and wisdom. They have the experience and insight you will have not yet obtained. They also know the pulse and health of your unit in everything from morale to mission capability.

Take care of your troops. If you take care of them, they will take care of you.

If you do these things right then you, the individual, will earn the respect that your rank is automatically afforded.

I have faith that you will succeed and come to exceed even your own expectations.

    Godspeed!
