    Default Another mag question

Looked for a similar thread and couldn't find one.

I'm no legal scholar, but is there any language in the mag bill that would probibit buying/selling/trading "parts" of a mag?

Perhaps a "mag kit" of a completely disassembled mag would get around the (shitty) law.

Yes this has come up. If you have parts that will make a mag then yes it is still illegal.

You can "repair" a mag but not build a new one.

Why is that? A magazine body is still a part. If I dent a magazine and replace the body, it's not as if I bought a brand new one. I guess we'll see if vendors will sell magazine part kits to CO.

I know a couple that do. I also agree.. It's clear that the new law forbids it.

Cross the border to WY or NE and you can find a lot of vendors that will sell you a parts kit, assembled or otherwise. How anyone will interpret, enforce, or otherwise understand this stupid law is part of the problem...

There is no language in the legislation nor the Attorney General "guidance" that would support receiving parts to create a magazine greater than 15 rounds capacity.
