I heard yesterday that someone suggested every person in the US (or the world for that matter) should CC the NSA, the white house, the FBI and any other appropriate gov't entity on every email sent.

I think that's a fantastic idea. I wonder how long it would take to shut down various gov't servers? Might send a powerful message. Or not.
