    Dedicated upper with Black Dog mags are certainly the way to go. You can build your own or buy one ready to go. Prices range from about $300 to $1000.

    I picked up a dedicated CMMG .22lr upper from bowers, and have been very happy with it. Like others have said I prefer to not dirty up my rifle with .22LR, and it is nice to just swap the upper and go.

    I appreciate everybodies thought on this. I wound up buying a Stag 22 conversion. Hopefully it will do what it is I am looking for it to do!
