I think age may have something to do with the historical context of what you make hemp out to be. Back in the day, it was a maritime staple. It was the fiber of choice for making canvas sails, ropes, and rigging.

Industrial hemp test plots were legalized along with the MJ. At least the way I understand it. This is a good thing. Hemp is an amazingly versatile and useful crop. Oil, fiber, animal feed. I've heard the Constitution was printed on hemp paper.

I see nothing about assuming its not Chinese hemp.

I'm just saying that it was stated the flag was made in Colorado. There was nothing in the article that said where the hemp was actually grown.
