Pushing an agenda. What else?
“Every good citizen makes his country's honor his own, and cherishes it not only as precious but as sacred. He is willing to risk his life in its defense and is conscious that he gains protection while he gives it.” Andrew Jackson
A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'
That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
Welcome to Kolorado.
Not a big deal if you ask me. If each of the stars was a marijuana plant, then there would be issues. Hemp is good for more than just smoking, guys.

Yes I know hemp has been used to make flags before, along with all sorts of twine and sundry items. It just rubs me the wrong way is all.
Forgive me, I must have been in a tizzy. I even misspelled "capitol". Thank you for pointing out that key distinction.
[MOD: Fixed it for you]

A Colorado-made Old Glory created from hemp will fly high above the nation's Capitol on the most patriotic day of the year thanks to an Eastern Plains farmer who is more than passionate about getting the industrial stuff legalized nationally.
"George Washington and Thomas Jefferson grew hemp," Polis said. "The first American flag was made of hemp. The U.S. Department of Agriculture produced a "Hemp for Victory" video in 1942."
Did you guys even read the entire article or just read the incorrect post title
[MOD: Yeah, I'm finally reading this thread, and the link, so I fixed the title]
Anybody actually read the article?
"Bowman plans to take his hemp stars and stripes to fly above the state capitols in those three states as a tribute to the crop, which he's quick to point out has no THC and could not make anyone high.

I'm no fan of Colorado being a dope smokers paradise, but I see this as not being connected. If I understand correctly, industrial hemp is a different animal that the one the hippies love.
Industrial Hemp (and the bans against it) have long been used as a symbol by NORML and other pro pot-as-a-recreational-drug legalization groups.
I wouldn't have a problem with it if it wasn't for the optics that many are pretending Colorado is "finally free" because we legalized pot, but ignore the fact that an actual enumerated right under the US constitution (2A) has been seriously attacked by the same government that is supposedly all wonderful and freedom loving because they allowed potheads to blaze up (when the truth is that the dems only support pot legalization because they know it will attract more ne're-do-well idiots that will vote for them to move here ... don't kid yourself, dems don't give two shits about individual liberty or industrial hemp, they only crave power).

Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".
"Everything the State says is a lie, and everything it has it has stolen.
-Friedrich Nietzsche
"Every time something really bad happens, people cry out for safety, and the government answers by taking rights away from good people."
-Penn Jillette
A World Without Guns <- Great Read!
I just hate it when people act irrationally and revert to the fear mongering leftist tactics.
