Hopefully I'll be able to do a full 30 day fast after the wedding.
You can do three weeks, you can do it right up till you eat again also. It isn't going to hurt your stomach if you go straight from the fast to eating. The most it would do is give you the shits (friends personal experience). It didn't do anything for me when I did it, I was fine. I have no clue what the meat every other week thing is either...... A lot of people are saying shit that has nothing to do with the original juice fast... I hope everyone can understand that it is simply juicing fresh vegetables, without any food of any kind for a week or longer. There are too many deviations, and people are getting confused I think... Also, there is a lot of bullshit out there (not just in this thread) of how the juice fast doesn't work, and go figure, it's more than likey because there were deviations in how it was done. Adding fresh juice to any diet will make you healthier, there is no arguing that, but if you are trying to gain anything medically, don't deviate from how it was meant to be done: All juice, with lots of water, no food*, low amounts of the naturally sugary juices.

This was my main drink (as in every day). All of these ingredients will make one gallon. You take and disperse into whatever containers that you want, and make sure you pour it to the top of the lid, and put the lid on tight. It should stay tasty for a day. Make sure to always keep up on your water.

    5 large cucumbers
    5-6 tomatoes
    8 leafs kale
hand full of spinach, just a normal hand full...
4 big leafs of collard greens
    5 sticks of celery
    3 carrots
    half a bushel of cilantro
    half a bushel of parsley
    3 red peppers
    1 green chili
    and salt to flavor

    Skittles Drink:
Juice until you get 3 cups of liquid from carrots
    5 apples
    half a bushel of parsley
    1 1/2 lemons
1 inch square (for visual of how much) of ginger

Thanks for posting the Skittles drink recipe again. My wife stopped at the store on her way home from work and I just added the ingredients from this recipe as well as one I found to make Spicy V8 to the grocery list (love smart phones). I will then add ingredients for this one you said you make daily as well as that Mean Green Machine or whatever it is that's so popular. I will make up some of those next. I also plan to make smaller portions since I'm home anyway so I won't have to worry about things going bad before I can drink them.

For those looking for recipes, here's some I found.

The first one is for Spicy V8 juice. There are two and I have tried neither one myself so try whichever you think looks better based on ingredients since they both use different ones.

    Spicy V8 (two different recipes)
    First Recipe:
    3 carrots
    3 stalks Celery
    1 sweet green pepper
    1 red pepper
    1 yellow pepper
    1 cucumber
    1/2 beet
5 or more small ripe tomatoes
    1 clove garlic
2 or more hot green peppers like serrano or jalapeño
add cayenne or fresh horseradish to taste

    Second Recipe:
    6 medium carrots
    1 small beet (wash well)
    3 large tomatoes
2 cups baby spinach (may increase if you like)
    1/4 head cabbage
1 habanero pepper (or more to taste if you like it spicy)
    1 red bell pepper
    1 green bell pepper
    3 stalks celery
    1/4 sweet onion
    1/2 garlic clove
3 kale leaves (a little goes a long way so be careful)
    chili pepper
    sea salt

Up next is one that sounds like it's one of the more popular recipes for juice fasting out there:

    Mean Green Juice
    1 cucumber
    4 celery stalks
    2 apples
6-8 leaves kale (Australian tuscan cabbage)
    1/2 lemon
    1 tbsp ginger

    Directions
    Wash all produce well
    Peel the lemon, optional
    Juice
    Pour over ice
    Enjoy!

As I try these I will post what works, what doesn't and what I like and don't like as well as other recipes I find.

Doing a gallon at a time makes sense to me. I could put it in a cooler with ice and take it to work with me.

The meat thing is dinner for his bachelor party and then the wedding. I'm not trying to add meat into a juice fast. Sorry that wasn't clear.

So I just tried this recipe tonight and while it doesn't taste much like Spicy V8 it's still a tasty recipe. I forgot to add any horseradish while I was juicing so maybe that would have helped but I didn't get a V8 flavor. The beet was a lot stronger and the juice looked like it since it was mostly purple. May have had something to do with it too. Maybe less beet would have been more V8-like. The garlic is also quite strong which I kind of like after a week of sweet juices. It kind of feels like I'm drinking a meal instead of a juice. But either way, it wasn't bad at all. This one yielded a full pitcher worth of juice... maybe a little bit more. The freshness was immediately noticeable over the bottled juices.
