Agreed. Look into something like Crossfit for both of you. It's incredible and one of the best motivators is your significant other when it comes to getting healthy.

Like Jer said, find a program that you both enjoy and can help each other stay on track or find her a friend that wants to go too. Having a partner to push you, keep you accountable and make it fun is the key to it all.

I used to think that but found that we'd both just fall of the wagon. I've had the most successful 2 months of my life from a diet standpoint because I quit giving a crap about what anyone else was doing.

That's because one of you wasn't into it so the opposite is true. If you can BOTH get your hearts into it though you're good to go because when one is having a 'I don't feel like..' attitude the other one can push them and you'll alternate. You do have to decide though that if you can't convince the other one no matter what though that you're still going to continue. If you do this then it shouldn't be any different than doing it yourself since you'll never fall off the wagon. It's just nice to have that added support & drive.

We made the Mean Green Juice the other day. We rejuiced all the left overs three times to get about 1/2 cup extra juice. Pain, but worth it if you have the time. Then my wife made some juice out of fruits for our daughter. She took all that left over stuff and threw it into the blender with some ice to make it a smoothie. It was pretty bitter so we just put a bunch of honey in it. That sweetened it up nicely and I ate that for breakfast today (and an omelet).

Anyway, Jer, since you can edit the thread, any way you could find all the recipes that have been posted and put them onto the first post? A few of them are on page 8. I'm about to try the first V8 recipe (the one you had) for breakfast tomorrow. Juice on.

Day 46ish since breaking the juice fast check-in:

    Starting Weight: 290.8
    Current Weight: 259.4
    Previous Weight: 261.0
    Lost since yesterday: 1.6
    Total Weight lost: 31.4
    Lost since fast: 8.0

I haven't done an update for a while but today marked two milestones in my progress so I thought I would post an update for those following. I finally broke into the 30lb's for lost weight and into the 250's for total weight. It's been smaller amounts of progress since the juice fast (I lost less than 4lbs the entire month of August) and some days I'm a little heavier and some days a little lower. The weight loss is a lot more typical now than it was on a juice fast where not every day is a homerun but if you stick to the plan it works in the long term. I'm still sticking with my healthier eating and still don't have cravings for the awful types of food that I used to. Hopefully I just keep on this path and keep shedding pounds. Unlike during the time I did the juice fast I've had more time to take it all in now and it's weird to think that I was nearly 300lbs just a few months ago.

How do you feel though? A lot of you guys lost at least 10 lbs, but is that enough that you notice? Do other people notice? Can you tell with your clothes? Go ahead and celebrate a little and tell us how great it feels to be down the weight. What does your wife think of your progress?

    Congratulations by the way.

I feel great. I wouldn't say I feel amazingly better but I think I feel a little bit better. I haven't really stopped to think about it because I'm far from my goal yet. I never really was down own energy though so it's hard to say. My energy levels are pretty much the same regardless of sleep amount or whatever. I'm weird like that. We're able to walk a lot more now than we were before I started too so we take the dogs for at least a 45min walk once or twice a day. I'm starting to get excited about dropping a little bit more weight so I can start some Crossfit. My joints should be able to take it once I start throwing that kind of stuff after I lose a little bit more weight. Then I'm thinking the pounds will melt off baring any unforeseen injuries.

I noticed that my clothes started fitting differently the first few days since I was losing so much weight so quickly. Now I'm getting to the point where my shorts might be too loose. I'm several notches tighter on my belt too. I have a feeling I'm going to have to invest in some new clothes sooner than later. I'll probably be carrying IWB exclusively now to take up the extra slack on the belt & shorts. Where I really notice it is in some pictures I just looked at earlier today from a while back. Wow was I fat. I mean, I'm still fat but my face was round. I have a shape to my face again and the wife comments regularly on how much weight I've lost and how much better I look. From all of those aspects I would say that I feel great.

I got down to 257 but have slipped up every damn weekend and today was a crap fest of food. I need to get back on the horse and get after it.
