Awesome two shoes! Yeah, falling out of good habits sucks because getting back into them can be VERY difficult. Especially if you've gotten back into them and then failed again several times. I'm glad you're motivated to do something about it though and if there's anything we can do to help we're here.

Along the lines of those V8 recipes I posted, pay special attention to where I talked about gaining weight during a juice fast due to it being high in sodium. I'm not sure that diet is ideal for a fast but maybe once you're done with the fast it wouldn't be as bad for you but I don't know that I would recommend either one I posted to have during the fast itself.

Inspirational? Wow. Thanks for the kind words. I guess I never thought of myself as that. I just consider myself fat. lol

Thanks for the encouragement and the words of wisdom Jer!

For those that are interested, here is a list of "substitutes" from Joe Cross... Not sure I agree with some, but most seem valid to my palate.

Whoa...just found this. Please tell me you're not still doing this. Instead of typing up a novel, I will just link you to a thread that will give you all the info you'll need for a LONG time. Read it in its entirety, and I think you will immediately rethink this course of action.

I don't know about you Jer but I sure as hell didn't "deplete" my fat stores.

    Drum roll please...

    Day 0: 243.3
    Day 4: 232.6

Results were unexpected to say the least. I was hoping for 3-4 pounds, not 10.

The good: Numbers on the scale..
The bad: Not feeling "great" yet. Tongue looks like it is wearing a white sweater, food cravings are still a big deal.... want to juice a cheeseburger or a steak. I have had the chills.... very new sensation for me. I miss chewing and crunchy things...

Tomorrow is day 5, my original goal. My biggest choice comes Saturday morning... another 5 days or a morning of debauchery at the Waffle House? We'll see. Might be determined on how many fruits and vegetables are left in the fridge.

Good work. I would say to go for at least two weeks. I say this not from a weight loss stand point but a mental stand point. If you're still craving things like Waffle House then it hasn't been long enough. I'd day my physical cravings ended around day three & my mental cravings seemed to pique days 5-7. By the end of the second week stuff like that didn't even sound good to me anymore. That was nearly 3mos ago & I still don't crave the bullshit that mad me a pig. Buy more fruits & veggies dude. Stick with it. I know it seems like a lot but in a week or two you'll wonder where the time went while marveling at the easiest weight you've ever lost. Once you get out of that mental habit it really does make eating healthy SO much easier.

I would say this is pretty accurate as long as you commit 100%. Too many people cheat here & there then wonder why it doesn't get easier for them. One little slip up will set you back days in the process which means 3-5 days turns into 5-7+ for a small snack. You have to let your body go through the process for it to get easier. Throwing your digestive system even the smallest snack (even a single whole fruit or veggie) keeps it churning & delaying the point where it finally gets used to not having food to digest. That's the key so many people miss out on because the reality is if you're not committed 100% your not doing a juice fast. You're doing a low calorie diet with juice and there's a huge difference in how your body responds.

    Morning of Day 6 stats:
    Day 0: 243.3
    Day 6: 228.8

    Total lost: 14.5!

I realize that weight loss at this rate cannot continue for too long, but that's ok. Just realized I have been VEGAN for the last 5 days... no urges to vote democrat or sell any guns or wear patchouli oil... so we are G2G!
